Hall furniture
With the help of a grant of £1000 from the Marr Area Partnership we have been able to buy new chairs and tables for the Hall. We received the chairs just before Christmas; they are upholstered folding chairs and they should be more comfortable than the existing stacking ones. They are also easier to store, especially on the trolleys (made for them by Kirkton Engineering of Monymusk).
We have 20 lightweight folding tables, each one capable of seating six people. The old wooden ones will be kept in the lock-up and will be used on outdoor occasions. The total cost of tables and chairs was £3575, of which we will pay £2575. The funds for this purchase came from the proceeds of the Thrift Shop. Our grateful thanks to the team of Thrift Shop volunteers for all the time and effort they have put in.
